Cookie Policy
Effective:This Cookie Policy explains how FissionPoint Assurance uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website.
It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, FissionPoint Assurance) are called “first-party cookies.” Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called “third-party cookies.” Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
Why Do We Use Cookies?
We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our website to operate, and we refer to these as “essential” or “strictly necessary” cookies. Other cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our website. Third parties serve cookies through our website for analytics and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.
Types of Cookies We Use
1. Essential Website Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with services available through our website and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas.
Country Detection
Purpose: Determines your country from standard internet traffic routing protocol to comply with the regulatory requirements of your country. This cookie is set by our content delivery network and contains only a two-letter country code.
Cookie: fp_cc (standard two-letter country code (e.g., “US”, “GB”))
Data Collected: None
Duration: 7 days
Note:
fp_ccis a read-only cookie consumed by our website to provide you with the specific regulatory protections of your country. The value of this cookie is stored in your browser and is only read by our website. It is never transmitted or stored in any remote locations.
2. Performance and Analytics Cookies
These cookies are used to collect information about traffic to our website and how users use our website. The information gathered may include the number of visitors to the site, the websites that referred them to the site, the pages they visited on the site, what time of day they visited the site, whether they have visited the site before, and other similar information.
We use this information to help operate our website more efficiently, to gather broad demographic information, and to monitor the level of activity on our website.
We use the following analytics services:
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Note: IP anonymization is enabled, and advertising personalization signals are disabled. Data is processed by Google LLC. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy.
Microsoft Clarity
Purpose: Session replay and heatmap analysis to understand how visitors interact with our pages
Cookies: _clck (identifies unique visitors), _clsk (connects page views within a single session)
Data Collected: Clicks, scrolls, mouse movements, and page content during your browsing session

3. Functionality Cookies
We do not currently use functional cookies on our website. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before deploying such cookies.
4. Targeting and Advertising Cookies
We do not currently use targeting or advertising cookies on our website. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before deploying such cookies.
How Can You Control Cookies?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie preferences by clicking on the appropriate opt-out links provided in the cookie banner that appears when you first visit our website.
Browser Controls
You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our website though your access to some functionality and areas of our website may be restricted. As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser’s help menu for more information.
Disabling Analytics Cookies
The simplest way to manage analytics cookies is through the cookie consent banner that appears when you first visit our website, or by clicking the “Cookie Preferences” link in the site footer at any time.
You can also opt out of individual analytics services:
- Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Microsoft Clarity: Visit https://choice.microsoft.com to manage Microsoft tracking preferences
- LeadFeeder: Visit https://www.leadfeeder.com/opt-out/ to opt out of LeadFeeder tracking
Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that, when turned on, signals to websites and online services that you do not want to be tracked. Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret DNT signals, our website does not currently respond to browser DNT signals. Instead, you can use the range of other tools to control data collection and use, including the cookie controls described above.
Other Tracking Technologies
In addition to cookies, we may use other tracking technologies on our website, such as:
Web Beacons
Web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs) are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. While cookies are stored on your device, web beacons are embedded invisibly on web pages. We do not use web beacons.
Local Storage
Local storage technologies (such as HTML5) allow a website or application to store information locally on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage data is never automatically sent to any server with your requests—it remains entirely in your browser and is only accessed by our website’s code running on your device.
We use local storage to save your cookie consent preferences so that your choices are remembered across visits. These entries are prefixed with fpConsentChoice and contain only your consent selection (e.g., “analytics” or “essential”) and the date you made your choice. No personal information is stored in local storage.
Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
